The “Work” of Publishing a Book

Writing is something that I love to do. I really could spend all day writing and I did just that to get this draft of my book (Stress-Free Media: How to Harness the Power of the Internet to Gain a Global Presence) completed. Now that the draft is done, the editing is done, I have to actually do some work to get it digitally published. I have to work with a digital editor to get it formated for digital publishing, then I have to get it edited for hard copy publishing, I’m still waiting for the draft of the cover from the graphic designer and once all that is done, I have to get it on to Amazon and start marketing! Whew!

But of course, once that work is done, my book will be out there and I’ll be able to help so many more small business owners than I was in the past. It’s a resource for those who are starting a business and don’t have the money to hire a professional to take care of their online marketing. I’m so excited about this new edition of the book since I included so much of my recent experience with my clients (not naming any names, just providing useful outcomes) and kept in many of the “tricks” of the trade that so many other marketers won’t share for fear of losing business.

That being said, I didn’t put everything in the book and I’ll be blogging about some of the new things that I discover as well as adding in tips and hints that I left out of the book. I’m excited to have this be a starting point for a conversation with fellow small business owners so let me know what kinds of questions you have and what you would like to see more of in the future and I’ll do my best to get those topics included in a future post.

In the meantime, spread the word about the book and look for it to hit the “shelves” at in the coming weeks.
