My New Book!

It’s a very exciting day for me because I got my book back from the editor yesterday, read through it, made some final edits and it’s just about ready to publish! The new book is called “Stress-Free Media: How to Harness the Power of the Internet to Gain a Global Presence” and I’m so excited to share it with the world (literally).

As I’ve written earlier this year, I was lucky enough to be able to take trip with my family to Johannesburg, South Africa. It was partially business and partially vacation but all of it was life changing. I met so many amazing people there. People I am still in touch with now that I’m half a world away. The global arena has become smaller with technology, allowing those in person connections to carry on when you are no longer in the same room. It’s not just email anymore. There’s instant messaging on Facebook and Skype, FaceTime with other iPhone users and webinars and screen sharing through all kinds of different sites.

But that’s not just for keeping in touch with friends and colleagues, it’s also for finding new clients, partners and, customers. It’s about finding the right customers, those who have already raised their hand and said they are interested in what you’re selling. These days its so easy to find those that are hungry for what ever product or service you are selling. There are hashtags on Twitter and Facebook, there are Google searches, LinkedIn groups, you name it. Once you identify your ideal clients or customers, just go “hang-out” where they are and they will come to you.

I know this is greek to a lot of you, which is why I wrote the book. I know there’s no way I will be able to help all the business owners that need my help so I wanted to give back and share my knowledge, help to pull it all together in one place so business owners can be educated and understand the process and the nuts and bolts to marketing their business online. I’m going to be going through the book in this blog, sharing more information on each chapter to add to what’s already there in hopes of providing even more great information on all the different social media networks, how to use keywords, how to find your keywords, when to use a press release, and on and on. I’m not sure I’ll ever be “done” writing this blog since as I get through writing on one topic, there’s changes and updates and new networks to learn, but that’s the fun of what I do.

If you have questions or want more information on a specific topic, please let me know, I’m happy to add it to the list!
